Ticket Office — Festival Volunteers

Greetings and thank you for clicking here. Please read on to see if you would like to volunteer in the ticket office at the entrance to the festival for Buddhafield 2023.

This year the festival days are the 12th to the 16th of July. I am looking for people to work in either of two roles as follows:

Become part of the Buddhafield Family and immerse yourself by arriving on site to start work at midday on Sunday 9th July. This a supervisor role and requires 30 hours in total from Sunday 9th until Saturday 15th July 2023.

Alternatively come and join one of the teams checking people in as they arrive from Wednesday 12th July until Saturday 15th July 2023. You will work for 20 hours in total.

The ticket office does not open on Sunday 16th.

You can apply to either of these teams through this page.

Ticket Office Supervisor role : 9th July to 15th July

From Sunday 9th to Tuesday you will be checking-in the crew who are already on site setting up the Festival and familiarising yourselves with the processes and key people.

From Wednesday to Saturday when the gate opens you will be supervising the check-in team, dealing with any queries that cannot be resolved by them such as names/tickets not on the lists, escalations, liaising with other departments and working closely with the production office and IT team.

You will not be directing traffic or answering miscellaneous questions - other teams (Stewards and Production Office) will handle anything that’s outside of the ticket office responsibilities.

There are some twilight shifts and you will often be working during meal times (food will be brought to you).

You will receive full catering from Sunday 9th to Sunday 16th

We ask you to come and live on site with us in your vehicle or tent, or under your tarp and bring your energy, willingness and skills.

You must be:

  • Eighteen or over
  • Calm and approachable
  • Openhearted with an enthusiastic approach
  • Comfortable using technology and handling money
  • Be friendly, and willing to help people!
Previous customer-facing experience is preferable.

Ticket office volunteering role: 12th July to 15th July

We ask you to come and live on site with us in your vehicle or tent, or under your tarp and bring your energy, willingness and skills.

In exchange we offer…

  • A ticket to the event
  • Vehicle pass (if needed)
  • Breakfast every day
  • A vegan meal and hot drinks every day that you that you are working (plus arrival day)

You will be welcoming and processing all arrivals at the gate, issuing wristbands/vehicle passes, taking payment when needed and checking people in.

You will not be directing traffic or answering miscellaneous questions - other teams will handle anything that’s outside of the ticket office responsibilities.

You must be:

  • Eighteen or over
  • Openhearted with an enthusiastic approach
  • Comfortable using technology and handling money
  • Be friendly, and willing to help people!

You will be working with the same team throughout the event.

There are some twilight shifts and you may be working during meal times (food will be brought to you).

Most people find Buddhafield volunteering a very enjoyable experience, however in offering to help in this way you will be taking on a job which may be quite busy and demanding at times, so please consider this before applying.

A Word about Alcohol and Recreational Drugs

All Buddhafield events are free from recreational drugs and alcohol

We don’t wish to judge people’s views on this — and hope it won’t put you off applying. If this would be a new way of experiencing a festival for you then why not give it a try?

However, please bear in mind that if you choose to apply to work with us and are accepted, then we expect this policy to be respected.
